摘要：The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating lipid-related metabolic diseases. The composition according to the present inventioncomprises D-psicose as an active ingredient. D-psicose has the ability to inhibit lipidabsorption in the small intestine and considerably increase lipid levels in feces. Due to itsability, D-psicose is effective in inhibiting the formation of body fat. In addition, D-psicosereduces body weight, body fat mass, and plasma lipid to normal levels to normalize bodyweight, body fat mass, and plasma lipid profiles. Due to these advantages, D-psicose isexpected to find application in pharmaceutical drugs, health functional foods, andfunctional foods suitable for preventing and/or treating lipid-related metabolic diseases.
