As the development of technology in the modern society, the need of sprit
entertainment grows faster and faster. More and more talent shows come out, and more and more innocent teenagers go in them for their dreams of being a super star one day. So far as I know, there are more than 30 different talent shows on TV and Internet currently; most of them are about singing and dancing, several are about showing real talent in acting. These talent shows give teenagers wrong signal about how to move towards their dreams and wrong direction about how to be famous and rich.
Talent show is truly an effective way for some people who have the real
talents to be known by the professional people in those areas and become famous, but as far as I concerned, the most people who take part in the shows do not really have the talents but the vanity for being famous and admired. For these kinds of reasons, those talents shows prejudice teenagers’ growing up and affected them with false universal ethical principle orientation.
In the talents shows, teenagers step on the stage and singing some popular
songs that against their age and confused their conscious. Plenty of songs they sing are about love between adults and stories with romantic themes. Those songs are definitely beyond their understanding, in another word, they are not mature enough to understand and sing them. Teenagers engage in young love and other immature things through those popular songs and dance and even take them as an effective way to become famous over a night. Talent shows do not push them to get close with that immature stuff directly, but without any doubts they play a part in it.

Great talent show present a good way for the people who want to show their
talent and achieve their goals, but the currently talent shows are low-quality and affect even defect peoples’ appreciating level in music and art. No matter what kind people, no matter if they have the talent or not, they all can step on the stage and show their called “talent”. When the TV channels play those shows, do they really consider what audience think about it? Do they ask themselves if they can accept them before they play them to the audience around the whole country even the whole world? They throw their responsibility away for getting more audience rating and money. But what they ignored is more and more confused and naive teenagers have gone farther and farther on the wrong way.
Hope one day all the teenagers who took part in the talent shows can clear
their minds and find the innocent selves back, and I wish there will be more and more high-quality, real talent shows.
On my personal level, the talent show is a superb means of relaxing and amusing and can hugely relieve our strains. As college students, however, we could not afford to indulge in them and should be aware of the utmost importance of studies.
