摘要：A measuring device of a length of a recording material includes: a rotary unitthat rotates while coming into contact with the recording material; a pulse signal outputunit that outputs a pulse signal in response to a rotation angle of the rotary unit; firstand second detection unit that detect the recording material; and a calculation unit thatcalculates a length of the recording material. The calculation unit calculates a peace ofthe length of the recording material corresponding to a time below pulse interval of thepulse signal and then calculates the total length in the transport direction of therecording material.
